Life insurance at Banzai is part of a plan provided by Unum that includes life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance. The plan is covered by Banzai 100%, meaning there's no cost to you for coverage. You must be full-time (at least 20 hours per week) and in the US in order to qualify for coverage.
What's the difference between accidental death and life insurance?
With life insurance, Unum provides a payout to a beneficiary should you die. With AD&D insurance, Unum provides a payout to a beneficiary should you die in a qualifying accident. This means that if you die suddenly and unexpectedly in an accident, your beneficiary will receive benefits from both. At Banzai, the payout for both plans is 3x your annual salary up to $300k.
