Around the office, you might hear people jokingly say the Banzai health plan is better than "Canadian Healthcare." That's because, in essence, all you pay is a small premium for health insurance through SelectHealth.
You can get reimbursed for all covered medical costs through your Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)—or even submit payments from that account to your physician directly. Your HRA is created when you enroll in a Banzai health plan. To access your HRA and submit claims for reimbursement/payments, you'll need a HealthEquity account. - How do I find an in-network provider?The Med plan has more in-network providers (also called participating providers) than the Value plan. To find a doctor in your network, use this tool: Find a Doctor. You can use the advanced search options to narrow the results.
- Can I get glasses or contact lenses reimbursed?While your health plan covers vision, lenses and contacts are only covered through age 18. This means you can't get reimbursed for corrective lenses or contacts. You can, however, use an FSA to pay for those costs. If you anticipate needing glasses, consider contributing to an FSA.
- Do all health expenses qualify for reimbursement?All health costs covered by your SelectHealth plan qualify for reimbursement—in or out of network. And all Rx costs, whether or not those prescriptions are covered by insurance, are reimbursable. To learn what costs are covered by your health plan, view the corresponding Explanation of Coverage document. Most medical expenses are covered, but not all of them. You cannot use the HRA for dental costs, since it's only associated with your Banzai health plan (not dental). If you aren't sure whether or not an expense is covered, contact SelectHealth (800-538-5038).
- What if I live or travel out-of-state (not in Utah)?With the Banzai health plan, try to visit providers in the IHC network, but if you are outside of Utah, Idaho, and Nevada, use St. Luke's Health Partners, Bright Path, MultiPlan, or PHCS providers for emergency care. You can use the HRA to reimburse anything applied to your deductible (in or out-of-network). Use the Find a Doctor Tool on the Select Health website.
