Paid Time Off (PTO)

Last updated

Full-time employees have the benefit of unlimited PTO—but all PTO needs to be approved by a manager. If your manager feels like you are abusing the PTO policy or that your time off impacts your commitment to Banzai, your requests for PTO may be denied.

It's also expected that the number of PTO days you take within a given year is reasonable. If you have any questions, direct them to your manager. HR does not track or limit PTO. Part-time employees can take days off unpaid (UTO)—the number of days is not limited, but days off must be approved by a manager.

Frequently Asked Questions

Copied to clipboard!
  • How do I request time off?
There's no official process to request time off; each manager and team will use a different approval process for PTO. Ask your manager for more information.
  • When can I start using PTO?
At Banzai, you don't need to earn PTO or wait a specific number of days. You can use PTO right away—as long as you get the approval of your manager.
  • Do I have sick leave?
At Banzai, there's no distinction between PTO and sick leave. Should an illness impact your ability to work for an unreasonable number of days, you and your manager may explore other solutions, like short-term disability.
